Our Oregon Grape is wild-harvested from the coniferous forests of the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Having grown up here I have surveyed these wild stands of Oregon Grape for Decades to ensure that our harvest is sustainable. It grows abundantly where we harvest and is an iconic understory species of our Pacific Northwest bioregion. To ensure our harvesting practice is sustainable we only take a section of the rhizome and replant the top portion so that we never have to kill any of the plants that we harvest. 
 
Oregon Grape has been used traditionally to support digestion, stimulate liver function, and help prevent infection. It is quite bitter and has been described as cooling and drying.
