5 Mushrooms for Mental Health
Saturday, April 11th, 11 am - 1 pm
In this masterclass, clinical herbalist, wildcrafter, and educator Logan Keister will discuss five mushrooms used by herbalists to address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, traumatic brain injury, poor memory, chronic stress, and fatigue. We will explore the traditional uses of reishi, lion’s mane, cordyceps, amanita, and red belted conk, and discuss each mushroom’s unique, specific indications that make it well-suited to support particular mental health imbalances. Safety concerns and suggestions for safe and effective use will also be discussed.
While no one mushroom or herb can address all mental health issues, there is much that Kingdom Fungi has to offer, and we’ll explore this fascinating topic together to expand our materia medica in support of our friends, family, community, clients, and ourselves.
